NCAA Champion states "Let's Grow Blue!"

In May 2007, Born graduated with a degree in Business Management from MTSU. During his college career at MTSU he was a three year letterman for the tennis team. During his three years on the team, he was a three year All-Conference selection and a two-time All-American. He won two national doubles championships, the most recent being the first NCAA Championship in school history this past May.

When he received his bachelor degree in May he knew he wanted to pursue a masters degree in Sport Management.

He chose Dr. Jubenville’s Sport Management program, because he liked the passion and determination of Jubenville to make MTSU Sport Management program one of the best in country.

Born stated, “ I like the way the program is specifically geared towards the reality of the sports industry. Already having a business management background, I was looking for a program that is concentrated around Sport Management and found all that in Dr. Jubenville’s program.”

Born was also very pleased and happy to be offered a graduate assistantship in the Sport Marketing Department in April, which will work along with my pursuit of a master’s degree in Sport Management.

Born will be assisting with ticket sales, promotions for football and basketball games as well as soccer.

Dr. Jubenville most recently founded the “Blue Raider Sales and Marketing Group” (BRSMG) in conjunction with Brad Smith and the Blue Raider Sports Marketing Department and Born is one of the first to be selected for the newly created opportunity.

In three words describing the future Born smiled and said, “Let’s Grow Blue!”
