Current Middle Tennessee Sport management graduate student, Barry Messer has been promoted to head baseball coach at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN.

Messer will replace Buddy Powers, who stepped down after 14 seasons. Messer was an assistant at Riverdale during the 2001-03 and 2005-07 seasons. He was an assistant every year Riverdale made the state tournament. He went 11-26 as Lebanon's head coach in 2004.

“He knows what’s expected,” Riverdale Principal Tom Nolan said of Messer. “He’s respected by the players and the staff. We’re looking forward to him carrying on the Riverdale tradition. It’s obvious that coach Messer has big shoes to fill, but we’re confident he can do it.”

Graduate speaks about her role in the Nashville Predators - Sommet Sponsorship Deal

Kristy Estes Adoff, Senior Account Manager, Corporate Development and MTSM graduate provide www.drjubenville.com with some perspective on the naming rights deal!

The Sommet Group is a family owned, local company that focuses on handling the non-revenue generating aspects of small to medium businesses.  They entered into a small partnership with the Predators prior to the 2006-07 season, with the main focus being hospitality.  By January, they saw the benefits of being associated with the Predators, in the connections they made and the new business they gained.  Our goal was to introduce them to all of the other sponsors who could benefit from The Sommet Group services, and help build that relationship.  We exceeded all of the owners expectations, and because of that he asked how he could increase his partnership.
